Diaphragm pumps are positive displacement pumps in which the reciprocating operation inducing fluid movement is achieved by means of an elastic diaphragm which is repeatedly actuated by mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic means. The movement of the diaphragm causes a decompression, followed by the fluid entering the pump head, to generate a new compression and final expulsion of the fluid.
